Advancement Report Guidelines
 

Dear Advancement Chairman,

Advancement Reports submitted WILL BE returned due to lack of sufficient information. Please read and follow the guidelines listed below:

(If your report is being returned unfilled, please see the checked box for information that was missing below).

• Sufficient funds must be in the unit account or a check enclosed for enough money to process your order. OUR COMPUTER WILL NOT LET BALANCES GO BELOW -0-.
   
• The name of the person ordering items must be on the unit account at the Service Center. PLEASE KEEP THE SERVICE CENTER "PRE-PAID ACCOUNT FORM" UP TO DATE WITH CURRENT NAMES AUTHORIZED TO USE THE ACCOUNT.
   
• The top of the form needs to be completely filled out with Pack or Troop information and signed.
   
• The name of each boy that has earned an advancement must be listed and include a separate line for the date the advancement was earned and each advancement that the boy earned. This includes rank badges, merit badges, activity pins, and belt loops.
   
• The name of a registered merit badge counselor must be listed after the merit badge that was earned.
   
• No extra advancements are allowed to be purchased and stock-piled. Only number of advancements needed are permitted.
   
• Only MEMBERS with unexpired membership can be credited with advancements. Awards are not available to members of units whose charters have expired.

It would also help us TREMENDOUSLY when sending in Advancement Reports to fill out the BACK of the form for the number of advancements needed. This will help process orders a more efficient and timely matter.

Also, please allow sufficient time for orders to be processed. Keep in mind the amount of time it takes for mail to arrive and also the amount of time it takes for mail or UPS to return the items. We only use NORMAL U.S. Postal delivery or UPS. NO ORDERS CAN BE RETURNED TO YOU BY FEDERAL EXPRESS, SECOND DAY MAIL, ETC. Also keep in mind that we do not receive our mail here until late in the day (usually after, 3:00 PM and that we DO NOT have Saturday mail pick-up or delivery service.
